I've just discovered that the wireless modem that my Internet provider installed in my apartment is broadcasting their public wireless network SSID and thus providing anyone with Internet access via the cable that is in my apartment. I wonder how legal that is. Will try to investigate.
UPD: My bad, I didn't describe the situation completely. The router now basically functions as two access points: one for my home, WPA-protected network (which was mentioned in my contract), and one unprotected public network. I'm prohibited access to router settings by the provider. Anyone can use "my" router to connect to the provider's network and purchase Internet time, then they will be able to access Internet via "my" router. Whether this will affect my service quality, I don't know yet. |

Yesterday my wife and I decided to go and try to find the botanical garden that we saw mentioned in a newspaper article recently. We only knew the name of the garden (Leventis Botanical Garden) and that it is located near Amiantos village and abandoned asbestos mine. Also that it is open on workdays, but since we can't go that far on those days, we hoped we could find our way in even on a Sunday.
When getting ready for the trip, we decided, judging by the weather in Limassol, that appropriate clothing would consist of jeans, T-shirt, and a sweater "just in case" it gets chilly in the mountains.
